Steve Kaluf

Steve started into model aviation in the late 1960’s, flying control line. In the early 70’s he started flying radio control. His passion for radio control grew to the point of starting a career in the model aviation industry in the early 80’s. Steve has worked for two different manufacturers/distributors and served as the Technical Director at the Academy of Model Aeronautics (during the switch to spread spectrum) during his 32+ year career in model aviation.

Steve enjoys flying all types of radio control aircraft. He has competed in soaring, pattern, pylon, helicopter, and scale aerobatics contests. He has also served as Contest/Event Director for some of the largest events in the U.S. over the years. In recent years his passions have included Scale Aerobatics and helicopters. Recently he has moved into turbine powered aircraft.

Steve is extremely proud to represent JR PROPO and it’s very high quality line of equipment. He looks forward to meeting other JR PROPO pilots and helping anyone that needs help, learn about the equipment.
