Richard Keppel

I live in Southern California and have been flying R/C since 1974.  I began flying and collecting R/C helicopters in 1976.  I am primarily a helicopter flyer, but do fly some fixed-wing models as well.

I have been flying JR radios since the early 1980’s.  During that time, I have had the opportunity to fly many other brands, but nothing comes close to JR quality, precision, and reliability.

I did some movie and TV work from the early 1980’s through the early 1990’s, including flying RC models for Night Rider and some of the model flying for Airwolf (I was the first and the last RC helicopter pilot for Airwolf).  As reliability was of paramount importance during filming, the radios used in the radio controlled Airwolf models were JR Century VII’s.

I am honored to have the opportunity to be a member of Team JR DFA, and would like to thank Sawamura Jun, Frank Noll, Mooney Munekazu Takamura, and Tomohisa Konishi for providing me with the opportunity to do so.
